I've said before that I have no privacy gene, but I might be lying because I'm sure glad I grew up before this shit was marketed to parents.

On the GPS Teen Tracker:

TRACK FROM ANYWHERE! Track your Big Brother over the Internet or any WAP device. Tracking locations and statistics can be viewed over any Internet browser or WAP device that can see web sites. You can pull the GPS data from the vehicle directly onto your PC. Parents can setup alert parameters (Geo Fencing) that will notify them by phone when the vehicle enters safe or non-safe zone.

So... next time I become obsessive about someone I'll know exactly where to turn for my stalking needs.

What the (*&^?

Holy shit doesn't even cover it. I have the distinct feeling that folks don't read George Orwell anymore and sling names like 'Big Brother' around just to look good.

Thanks, GPS Industry, for spreading the paranoia. It's just what this country needs.

You know?

Okay, good thing I don't have kids cuz if I did, I think I'd be tempted by something like this. Cuz I know all the misbehavior *I* got into in my teens, and I'd be worried stiff.

But yeah, this is just more marketing to the culture of fear. And the silly belief that there is such a thing as a level of oversight that will prevent bad things from happening.
