Va-va-voom?
Jul. 9th, 2003 09:54 pmI had a very sudden, rather positive thought: with Mr. T dead, my dad is suddenly living right across from a lonely widow he's known for 20 years. Surely some tiny amount of trust would have built up between them during that time. And she'll be grateful enough to him rather soon... he's doing a lot to help sell Mr. T's old guns and woodshop-type possessions. Bada-bing, bada-bang! It's an outside chance, but what a funky thought. I would be completely in favor of my dad getting some, and this is almost the perfect setup. I just hope he's thought of it, because there's no way to tactfully suggest a thing like that.
(What, my life? Kick now, pay later. I stretched and iced, but I'm gonna be sore tomorrow, I think. I don't care though, I got in some good wheel kicks, and even a couple of decent stepping wheel kicks.)

Yes yes YES!

Date: 2003-07-10 06:44 am (UTC)As for icing, I usually only do it after classes that I know will hurt my hamstrings (i.e. they have more than a few wheel kicks or hook kicks). I have a couple of cold packs in the freezer and I just sit on them for a while. It's not discipline so much as abject fear of pain though... I just hate that dynamic where I get more and more sore for 2-3 days.
Another option...
