Nerdy webcomics! Squee!

First, I just read Scott McCloud's book Making Comics, which is bad because every time I read any McCloud I want to start drawing comics. Long-time readers know what happened the last time I read anything by him. Anyway, Making Comics includes more amazing analysis of comics, an awesome breakdown of facial expressions, an overview of available tools and techniques, and a link to lots of online material including tutorials and the online-only Chapter 5 1/2!
Thought some of you art geeks out there would be interested.

On an even nerdier, more webcomicky note, I apparently will be attending the xkcd meetup 07. The coordinates listed are pretty close to here, so it's easy -- but some people are buying plane tickets to get there! I just have to do it... I have to know who else is reading xkcd. And I have to be sure to wear my wedding ring and bring
heisenbug, because a LOT of people want to know who else is reading xkcd, especially who else of the female persuasion. They have some justification for this; it is a webcomic of romance as well as sarcasm, math and language, after all.
