Words of wisdom
Apr. 28th, 2007 12:11 pmYoga class this morning gave me another one for
miyyu's words of wisdom post (which, by the way, everyone should go add to since I have again dragged it up from the depths of ancient history):
If your mind has wandered, you can't get the full benefit. You have to stay interested enough to keep fine-tuning.
Wow... this applies to almost every practice I can think of. I like quotes that contain the word "enough". They make sense to me: not everything may be worth pouring your entire soul into, but to benefit from something you have to stay interested enough to keep fine-tuning.
Please though, people, don't apply this rule to your Starbucks ordering technique. I don't want to be behind you when you're ordering that grande mocha with two pumps of caramel, one-third decaf, made with half 2% milk and half soy milk, no whipped cream. Drives me crazy enough to hear myself order.
