Thinking scattered thoughts, doing scattered things. Playing Portal, now on level 18. Buying a slanket and some new yoga clothes, reading Jonathan Lethem.
I ate a ridiculous amount of food yesterday, and it was great. I had a good gymnastics class too. (Thank goodness I somehow got my attitude back; it was getting horribly depressing, but now I feel okay again.) My shoulders were burning at one point. I don't think they've ever hurt so much, and I was somewhat afraid that I'd strained them, but with a few minutes' rest they recovered. I did 20 or 30 front handsprings, on an incline with a belt helping me, and for the first time they felt easier and easier. Most of the force is now coming from the back leg, where two weeks ago I couldn't even figure out what Moses meant about using the back leg. I'm sure I could have done one with a lot less help from the belt.
Here is something cool for you: a Google Maps feature that displays geotagged YouTube videos. Click on the red dots to watch the videos (zoom in far enough and more dots will appear, also). Yesterday I went and geotagged my videos that were taken in Mexico, so that they would show up here. A lot of the videos are obviously tagged wrong (one in the middle of the ocean has text saying it was taken in Venice, for instance), but this is still pretty neat.
