Sorry friends, don't know why it's so hard

Despite some healthy self-absorption, I do have some empathy. In the last week I've wanted to cry or puke or something on behalf of other people at least three times, and that's not even counting Wall Street's economic meltdown or ridiculous political ploys by scary old men. Though while I'm on that topic, I did find an excellent summary of the current fiscal situation today.

Aw, thanks. I am trying to revive it (the phone) with mad tricks seen on YouTube. And I'm taking next Monday and Tuesday off for a trip up to Vermont with a friend. :)

I'm so sorry that things are hard now, but it sounds like they are also getting better. May momentum keep going in that direction.

Thank you for the wishes of momentum. This post really was about other people though -- things seem hard all around here, with folks overloaded and strung out. I think my stuff's on the mend, though, so soon I hope to have more time to spend being a good friend to those people.

As of today, I've got the son of my old phone. Seems pretty nice. :)
