Acroyoga in South Boston!!

OMG, being on the grapevine is gooooood. I heard yesterday that South Boston Yoga has started offering acroyoga classes on Monday and Wednesday nights at 7:30 (their schedule). Monday is Acroyoga Basics, which is the one someone actually told me about... me, I'm going on Wednesday, either this week or next. :-)

The first drop-in is free and they're right at the Broadway T stop, all of which is too perfect for words. Anyone want to go with me??

Update: ooh! They're also doing an Acroyoga weekend thing in November, which is really just Friday night and Saturday afternoon/evening. Friday is mostly inversions and "geared toward advanced yoga students and teachers" while Saturday is mostly Thai massage and the partner work. I bet we won't really do this thing in the event ad, though...



I'm pretty much pooping my pants with excitement here, even so. islenskr, I don't know if you'll be better enough or not, but could the Saturday sessions be your excuse to come and visit? I have a couch.

I'm pretty much pooping my pants here out of excitement as well! Yay! I'd looove to visit, but I need to try some light yoga here first to see if my back can tolerate it. Also, I'm still a beginner at the whole world of yoga, but to rectify this I'm looking into yoga studios in Hartford.

Yes possibly! I really don't want to tempt you into something that would hurt you. But the timing seems so nice: you could drive in on Saturday morning and do the sessions, sleep at my place and drive back on Sunday. Let's definitely see if your back is up for it, and if so, you are sooooo invited. :)

The Saturday sessions only recommend an intermediate practice, not advanced.

oooh, yay for you! also i need to return your acroyoga dvd. it fell behind the filing cabinet and i only recently rediscovered/remembered it.

oh yeah, dvd! yes please, any time you have a chance to package it up. :) I never did watch the thai massage segments on it, and there will be some of that in the november workshop, apparently.

there is a acroyoga class here in Seattle that just started up on Fridays. My partner and crime and I are going to start going and my pants are brown with excitement too!

Exciting! It's spreading like a rash, except in a good way. I hope you will a) wash your pants and b) let the interwebs know how it goes so that I can get a sense of how my classes compare.
