Forgot to mention
Jul. 31st, 2003 02:57 pmMy co-worker T's baby was born two days ago, about four days premature--a complete surprise to T, who flew to Arizona yesterday to be with his not-yet-daughter. It's great for him to have the waiting over with. He and his wife are soooooo happy about becoming adoptive parents, it kind of blows my mind (but leaves me feeling happy for them).
I really think there should be a version of I'm Too Sexy that brags about time management:
And I've... got lots of stuff to do
yeah lots of stuff to do
I'll get it done, too.
And I've... been plannin' a par-tay
And workin' every day
cuz I'm okay.
And I'm ... still sleepin' every night
yeah sleepin' every night
how's that for all right.
Actually, I haven't reached that totally crazy point where balancing things becomes a performance art. I've been there, and this isn' t quite it. It's not so far off, though, either. And two weeks from now is my first integration biz trip, and six weeks and 2 days from now is, you know, that other thing. Got a babysitter hired though, that's good.

Date: 2003-07-31 07:38 pm (UTC)All is well, I'm kind of groovin' with it. The trouble is that the wedding is fine--work is the wild card. Harder to get help on that. Thanks though, I will call you in if I panic. :)
