I take a dorky, dorky moment out of my day to celebrate this: we paid off a large chunk of mortgage principal at the end of November, and I'm now paying the bill that shows the breakdown of the normal bill we paid after that.

For the first time ever, last month's payment went more to principal than to interest. :D

I know my fellow homeowners will understand.

Huzzah!

I don't yet own a home, but sure appreciate being in principle in principal. Given student loans and some errata, I only hit the mark of having a net positive net worth sometime last December, failing to celebrate it only because I noticed it so far after the fact. ^_^
