I got this from The Happiness Project: Here’s a quiz, lightly adapted from The Creative Lawyer, to help you figure out your interests. Not what you WISH interested you, but what ACTUALLY interests you.
1. What part of the newspaper do you read first?
Comics. Then Entertainment... or the Books section if there is such a section... and Health or Daily Living if there is such a section.
2. What are three books you’ve read in the past year?
The Happiness Project, The Fortress of Solitude, The Name of the Wind. These aren't all that representative really; I read a lot of books (and I think the odds that I'm squelching any unrecognized genre interests are quite low.)
3. As a child, what did you do in your free time?
I read books, or built elaborate geometric creations out of nearly anything. Daydreamed about getting my ears pierced. Periodically I would do what I could to redecorate whatever little corner was "my space".
4. What’s a goal that has been on your list for a few years?
Thanks to 43things.com:
5. What do you actually do with your free time?
I'm on a nesting streak right now, but that's not always true, so I'll answer the "usually" case.
Working out, reading, blogging, reading blogs, working on my side project (which always quite energizes me once I get started, but is a source of guilt until I do)... I haven't been knitting a lot lately, but I'm still reading a lot of knitting blogs. It's definitely the adult expression of "building elaborate geometric creations".
6. What types of activities energize you?
Acro acro acro!! Decluttering. Games, the kind played with other people, especially board games but including things like card games and things like bowling. Actually, I like puzzles too.
7. What famous people intrigue you?
I'm always a sucker for a good "rags to riches" story, especially if the person turns out classy and non-bitter, so I'll go with Barack Obama.
