I like all these things, yes indeed.
May. 10th, 2010 09:51 pmA bunch of guides to simplifying life (one example) seem to start with identifying one's values, something so goddamn grandiose and abstract that I tend to blank out entirely.
That's why I found this list of values really helpful. Reading all the way down, here are some of the ones that jumped out at me...
Integrity.
Playfulness. <-- this one wasn't on the list but it's here anyway.
Precision. Self-control.
Endurance, soundness, stability.
Elegance.
Loyalty.
Financial independence.
Health.
Growth.
Balance, composure.
Comfort. Wealth.
Thoughtfulness.
Humor, cameraderie.
(I have developed an allergy to the word Impact, thanks to work where they just lurrrrve this word.) Usefulness.
Justice.
Maturity, watchfulness.

Date: 2010-05-14 02:00 am (UTC)Ooh, nice. That's when you know you've really got something. The last time that happened to me was from a book... I learned where I get my drive and energy from (psychologically) and it was pretty scary to think about giving that newly-found "key" to anyone.
