Last week was my first one as tech lead, and wow. One of my workdays started at 5:30AM and ended at 11:30PM... not that it was solid working between those times, but still. So all I did yesterday is sleep, wander around Harvard Square buying stocking stuffers (and a book for myself -- Epictetus!), and sleep again on the couch in the afternoon. Then fed

Today is Christmas, and my first one as a declared minimalist. People have mostly dealt with this just the way they used to deal with me... books. :D Among them is At Home by Bill Bryson...

miyyu, would you be interested in that one when I'm done? I never did quite run out of books to read this year; friends kept lending me things, or I wouldn't be able to resist The Anthologist at the bookstore anymore, or I'd run into a co-worker on the train and he'd give me his just-finished copy of Moby Dick. I think the lowest I got was having ~1.5 books left.

We had more coats of polyurethane put on the floor at the new place earlier this week, and the daydreams for how to set things up when we move are beginning in earnest. I love this dragonfly wall decor by Umbra, and we're somewhat considering a seven-foot bean bag for the living room.
