Advice for the dry at heart

If I might give a word of advice, do not live downstairs from me. My downstairs neighbors in both houses have had major water/plumbing issues within the last week. Strangely, neither one is related to my habit of pouring water all over the floor; in one case we can blame the snow and in the other case we can blame the house being 100+ years old; but I still feel mildly culpable.
I can't have a regular workout schedule, apparently. The universe is all "thwart, thwart, thwart" when I try. Zacro has been canceled for about the next six months and the Friday acrojams have turned into regular (basic-level) classes except for once a month. So, I won't be attending those things (the good news is that I get to go back to my regular Friday vinyasa classes.) I did manage to write this guy to ask about private handstand lessons, and grab a hotel for another weekend here -- yes, another acroyoga workshop in the same place the 5-day December intensive was.
TRYING to care for myself and even cultivate a new interest. But there's definitely a lot that I enjoy that's been squeezed out of life, right now. And then there are glamorous bits, like last week's corporate ski trip and the super high-end restaurant we went to for our anniversary date, which I don't get the chance to savor or write about. Still, at least those bits exist and at least I have things I love. Spring will be easier.

Date: 2011-02-11 02:00 am (UTC)I'm getting interested in makeup... especially eye makeup. Someone showed me a great tutorial channel on YouTube and I picked up some high-quality supplies last week. My eyelashes are strange and I have 33-year-old eyes instead of the completely unwrinkled eyes of the teenage girls on YouTube, so some of what I try doesn't work, but some of it does.
Good work with the plyo!
