Effing travel, when will it end?
Sep. 26th, 2011 12:33 amSo I don't have to get on another cross-country airplane for EIGHT ENTIRE DAYS. Yippity skip.
The in-laws are all excited about our visit, and I, who am not recovered from the last red-eye home, feel thoroughly otherwise. I half wish I wasn't even going to the acroyoga festival in the same trip... right side up, upside down, new tricks, old tricks, who cares anymore? I'm just so sick of reserving hotel rooms hither and yon. Today I also reserved Amtrak tickets and a corporate apartment for the trip after next, a 3-day work thing that is much closer, in NYC. No airplanes, no time zone shifts, no vacation usage. Yeah, the prognosis for surviving that one is good if I can only get that far.
So I'm here for 8 days, in-laws for 3, acroyoga for 4, here for 6, work in NYC for 3.
I have places to sleep. I may not have ways to get to all those places, but in extremis there are always taxis.
