You know what's way more fun than it should be? Looking at hardware for sinks. I know I said the vanity could wait, and it can, but I had to do just a BIT of looking... all I have to do is Google Image Search for contemporary widespread bathroom faucet, and I fall in dorky love again and again and again.



(And this is not to even mention heisenbug.)

I never thought I would be the kind of person to fall in love with fixtures or hardware, but I am. I very much am. Lighting, faucets, cabinet knobs... it's way too much fun. I've learned that it's worth paying for quality and for something you love, because you're going to be looking at it and using it for years.

I especially like the one in the second row in the center. Those curved handles are delicious!

Yes -- this stuff is basically the jewelry of the house, and what's not to love about that? I find that I don't really notice boring or crusty fixtures when I'm out and about, but I do notice when they're fabulous. I know that something awesome in my own bath would make me smile every day for years.

Your favorite is one of my leading contenders too, along with the very last one.
