Lock of hair

My mother sent me an envelope full of random stuff including... a smaller envelope labeled "flexagon's hair, Age 3 1/2". Like I'm supposed to know what to do with a little bit of 30-year-old keratin.

Voodoo doll?

Maybe I could write a story about this kind of thing, where someone hurts the voodoo doll and, because it's bound to them-as-a-child, the affected person's memories change. The person starts acting like someone who was traumatized though childhood, without anything bad happening to them in the present, and ends up completely fucked up. Yeah. I like it.

The setup could be exactly like what happened, only to someone who's getting divorced, and, of course, it's the spouse who knows what to do with the lock of hair.
