I mostly spent the weekend putting more ducks in a row... wrote about a thousand thank-you notes on Saturday (and I'm done now except for a couple more gifts I know are on the way, oh, the freedom!). In the meantime, HLM was spending about 8 hours putting wedding pictures up on his website. What a nice spouse. I'll probably still do my own picture pages since my picture choices won' t be quite the same as his, but only because I'm a raging individualist, not because his isn't good. :)

Went chair shopping: Aeron beats Mirra due to its fabric (as opposed to plastic) back. Now we know.

Today I went weightlifting, kinda sore from tae kwon do yesterday... and I could write about half a page on how my dynamic flexibility has gone to hell, by the way. At the start of class before I warmed up it hurt the back of my legs just to bow to the instructor, never mind kick! I clearly need to be doing some remedial toe-touching type things as well as just passive stretching, because I did not used to be this stiff. Anyway... lifting, and then off to Tir na nOg for their Sunday afternoon trivia game, which B and D happened to be running this week. It was fun, and my team was leading for about half the game before we whiffed an entire (geography-themed) round and the final bonus question. I'll probably keep doing it from time to time. (Wanna join me one of these Sundays, [livejournal.com profile] hiddenbear? I know you like the nOg, and you might know some sports trivia, which I certainly don't.)

Also, I tried to do some purging, because one way of dealing with clutter is to own less crap. I gave one good-sized bag of clothing to Goodwill, and bagged up some old pots & pans to give to a guy at work who runs a charity for the employed poor. All well and good. I also... and this is a bit painful... put my wedding gown in a box to be sent off to benefit breast cancer. Someone on [livejournal.com profile] newlyweds gave me a link to that charity, and I don't want to hold on to my dress forever, and it was taking up half my closet, so this seems like a good idea--but still, I don't think I'll send the box just yet.

I'm still really enjoying Kushiel's Dart, by the way, [livejournal.com profile] bluechromis. Perhaps I have no taste, or perhaps what little I have is overwhelmed by the joy of seeing a strong, highly intelligent female character who enjoys being tied up and whipped. Dunno. :)

I liked the fact that it was a strong female character as well. The whipping and tying...just gravy ;-) *hee hee*

Thanks for the offer, but trivia isn't really my thing. Dinner some time soon would be great if you are up for it.
