Another Sunday, another afternoon in the park doing acro with my homies. :-) I based at least one thing I hadn't based before (got my friend Chickie up into overhead cradle without help, for anyone reading who cares, and swung her up to my shoulder), and flew some good hand-to-hand with the Ant. Three times we managed to press it up overhead and it felt safe -- never totally nailed it, but I think we did get all the way up the second time. So that's a huge new thing to work on. [livejournal.com profile] heisenbug was taking pictures the whole time, and I think we got some good ones of me and Chickie. It was nice to see the Ant in a really good mood, too, playful with me and especially affectionate/kissy with his girlfriend. Fun times... river, summer, boys, girls, handstands, sun, joy.

In beauty-department news, I finally shelled out for a no!no! Skin -- one of those zit-zapping gadgets that discourage pimple formation by zapping them with light and heat. Really, the price is an amazing deal if it works. It's no good for comedonal acne (blackheads), but it fights the deeper nastier things that you really have to use the word "pustule" to talk about properly. So I've been zapping away since about Wednesday. Good results so far! I'll keep you updated, but so far so interesting. It seems like if you zap the zits before they really form up, they never gather enough moxie to break the skin's surface.

I've also been exploring some lingerie places that cater especially to the small breasted: Eve's Apples and Itty Bitty Bra both seem good. I'm not sure how many of my friends have a reason to be interested ([livejournal.com profile] coraline maybe?) but I'll share data if anyone's curious.

My sister-in-law has been visiting for most of this four-day weekend. Sigh. She's vegan and is all into promoting the latest vegan dietitian, and I can't help thinking she could promote him a lot better by taking care of herself a little more. I know I'm being cruel -- it drives me crazy to be stuck representing women in tech, for instance, just because I happen to be one -- but damn do I not want to be a vegan when I look at her. She's not in good shape, to say the least, and doesn't know how to move... she might as well be wearing a T-shirt that says "failure to thrive". Seeing her makes me want to eat half a buffalo and go to the gym, go directly to the gym, without passing Go and without collecting $200.

What I love though? Being caught up on sleep. Delectable.

We're about the same size then, and that bra looks like exactly the type I prefer! :)

Right now, my two favorite bras are .... a bra that I just discovered no longer is made. Crap. (It was from Soma. Soma often has good bras, but you want to try them on because they do a good job of making bras for different shaped chests. That means that some of them fit delightfully and others just don't.) The other one is ... also no longer made. What the hell?!?!?!?!

Wow. I'm even more glad than I thought that you're doing this research :)
