Weekend work

I feel so much better emotionally when I get some work in over the weekend. I'm sure most of this benefit accrues from simply having uninterrupted time in which other people aren't working, and yes I know the practice has its naysayers, and sometimes I can't get in the mood.

But goddamn, it feels good this morning to be going in on Monday without an email or doc review backlog, ready to send out some code soon, excited to see the guests we have visiting today from California. I'd like to get more regular about this.

For whatever it's worth, I feel the same way. It's just easier to do (things that feel like) real work on the weekend.
