Let the weekend recaps begin
Oct. 27th, 2003 09:28 amShort version: I slept a lot, and now I'm all awake.
The party on Saturday night was fun... though it did rather turn into a Sugar Consumption and Dishwashing Party as well as a skill-sharing party, and of course we missed AG. I'm definitely planning to reuse a couple of the things I learned. I had no idea white sangria was possible, much less easy to make, and of course the knots
bluechromis taught us how to tie have tons of uses. Ohhh yeah. Bring it on, sailor girl. ;)
On Sunday I got in my magazine time and weightlifting time, and that was about that. Got to see HLM play his cello in a fairly cool concert, which included Night on Bald Mountain, and that was nice too. But mostly it was a lazy day. Weightlifting & caffeination is much less fun when it's dark outside--must remember to go earlier next week.
I've definitely declared a moratorium on thing-buying for a while. No more wasting time/energy thinking about acquiring goddamn things... I have enough things. And there'll be quite enough opportunities to spend money on services, gifts, consumables and repairs/replacements of things I had pre-moratorium. Yeah, I'm sure at some point this will get annoying and I'll go back to my thing-gettin' ways, but for now it's kind of a relief.
And now to work...
