People change

flexagonA moment of appreciation: a normal/boring day of straddles and splits now includes a stomach-to-floor pancake and a small oversplit on the bad side.
I had lunch yesterday with Smitten, who has coupled up with her long-time roommate and now feels completely done with cattin' around. It was so funny to hear her talk about monogamy, not being able to handle polyamory, etc, considering her recent past of... uh... very active dating. And it makes me a little bit sad that her relationship with me could have actually been part of a (harmful?) behavior pattern she was only in because she was trying for parity with BassClef. Ah, well, she seems happy in her newfound stability -- budgeting, planning, redecorating, generally adulting.
Me? Lots of feels. Grateful for circus community. Fascinated, and concerned, by how what we pay attention to shapes our experience.
