Today I feel maybe more like this, despite Sundays always being a little depressing in terms of work (again the weekend did not magically provide enough time for me to do everything I wanted to do).

I've had a satisfying time prioritizing the gym, email, snail mail and getting rid of stuff though; feeling more caught up on life. There's been lots of chatter with [livejournal.com profile] norwoodbridge, lots of playing The Witness with [livejournal.com profile] heisenbug and, perhaps most amazingly, Hypercube and Nala actually snuggled on Saturday.

(In honor of getting rid of stuff, btw, here's a pretty hilarious send-up of Marie Kondo, in case anyone else has read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up.)

I did Turkish get-ups at the gym on Saturday, in accordance with my 2016 goal of trying to catch up to [livejournal.com profile] heisenbug on them. I didn't feel like lugging the weights very far, so I moved some benches aside and hung out in the free weight area boosting a 35-lb weight three times and a 40-lb one twice... nobody was smiling or meeting my eye and I thought maybe I was in the way, so I put on my game face and moved when I was done. But, back in the bodyweight area, a cute girl caught up to me and said I was amazing, and that her partner had pointed me out to her. I volunteered to teach both of them the TGU next weekend and she took me up on it. :) Annoying or not, perhaps I'll start a fad?

Catching up to him as in weight with TGUs?

TGUs are hard, but a good workout. So, you're doing 35# 3x each side?

I felt like the weekend was too short also. My lawn and yard look great though, and I hope my bananas start being more productive now that I cut them back a bit.

Love this:
"Look at your bookshelves, Kondo decrees in her most emotionally fraught chapter, and accept that all those books you haven’t read yet are books you will never read. "
