Writing wedding vows and ceremonies...
May. 12th, 2003 05:22 pmis obscenely difficult, no matter how many other peoples' you look at!
Today, [HLM,] I join my life to yours before this company, not merely as your wife,
but as your friend, your lover, and your confidant.
I pledge to love, honor and respect you;
to share my thoughts and feelings with you;
to help you when you need help and to turn to you when I am in need of help.
I pledge that this love will be my only love from this day forth.
I hope that in this marriage we will come to understand ourselves and the world better than ever before.
HLM, with these words I commit myself to you as your wife.
What do you guys think?

No thank you!!! I have enough trouble getting one thought across in less than a couple paragraphs. So I won't even try expressing all that you were able to express in a single vow. It makes sense not to polish it up too much if some of it may end up going. I'm damn impressed with what you have ... great for a frist stab and more!
