flexagon | One thing I hate about spring

Yesterday there was a medium-sized black spider spinning away in the stairway when I went down to get laundry. A few minutes ago there was another one, largish red this time, crawling across my wall. Neither spider survived the encounters and I did, but why, oh why, can't it get warmer without the scare factor? I do not need higher adrenaline levels. I just don't.

(For those who don't know, I'm arachno-web-ophobic. If the little beasts didn't spin, I'd be fine with them. But all the common varieties do, and with disturbing alacrity. Especially in the spring.)
