I was actually kind of impressed by the snow this morning. I usually look at the snowflakes to see how many of them are well-formed and what kind they are, and today's were mostly broken-up bits, but the flakes that survived were really solid and thick and HUGE... like 3 or 4 mm diameter 6-pointed stars. I've never seen ones that big around here. However, this hasn't been nearly enough to save me from my case of impending-vacation-itis. I'm bored. (Working at a decent clip, though, since work is the most interesting thing happening on- or offline at the moment.) I guess I have my dad on the brain a bit. He called again this weekend and it gets so tiring. He's doing a lot better depression-wise now that he's on Paxil, but he still often says the same things over and over, and he still doesn't listen. The more I can stop pitying him the more just plain annoying it can all get. Still, it's a vast improvement over the tearful war stories and certainly he seems a lot happier, which is the most important thing.

Here's one bit of random amusement for the day--there's some chance of FOX interviewing me for a program about local brides. That's cool, but the last time I almost got interviewed by TV people was when I was donating an egg, and I'm positive they dropped me because I was too calm about the whole thing. I'm also pretty calm about the wedding at this point, and I'm sure they have a long list of people, so probably nothing will come of this one either. Interesting prospect though.

I've been listening to Thick as a Brick, by Jethro Tull, a lot lately. It has some really good lyrics. Let me tell you the tales of your life. Of your love and the cut of the knife. The tireless oppression, the wisdom instilled, the desire to kill or be killed. I took this post's title from there as well.
