I am a rattle toy
Mar. 5th, 2004 02:31 pmWorking with a trainer last night was unexpectedly fun. I had to sneak off afterward to do a few extra sets with real weight, true, but we did some random stuff I kind of liked. We spent part of the time talking about whether it's fun to work part-time at McGym as a trainer and whether I should do it (I advanced to that level of discussion pretty fast after looking at a sheet of things I wanted out of my training--more strength, less stress, losing weight, etc--and saying "uh... better strength balance between my glutes and hamstrings."). It is a thought that occasionally tempts me. But we also looked at my squat form, and that made me happy. I don't think I'll get any crap at all if I don't decide to continue after my 3 sessions, but I will do the two more I get for free. Why not? It was fun. And it felt soooooo good when she stretched me out. I miss partner stretching.
While I have no interest in the new Jesus movie, I was raised on that story, and so I found this blooper reel somewhat funny.
Today is deadly blah, and yet I felt a moment of joy as I walked through the T stop this morning with my bagel and my copy of Kushiel's Avatar. What do I love so much about rattling around loose in my city? Doesn't matter, as long as I get to do it. So pass, you stupid Friday. Give me the weekend and let me rattle.
