Amazingly, I think I just got news that T and I will be getting the shared window office we asked for, since I definitely just received news that the new expanded office space is going to have four of them. Two of those are larger than the others, and since we have seniority among those who prefer windowed doubles to unwindowed singles, it's likely that one of them will be for us. So my days of having my own office are numbered... well, that's fine. I found a single office very lonely at first, and it's also much easier to slack this way. I don't think I'll mind switching back, after a little adjustment period. So now to see whether I can end up in an orientation where I can see the window and still can't be sneaked up on from the door, and whether T and I will hate each other when placed in close quarters. Unless of course this is all an April Fool's joke and I'm really being put in a broom closet.
