Augh! Victor Hugo is closing.

flexagonAnother blow to the core of Boston--Avenue Victor Hugo is closing. They do sound more bitter on their front page than I find graceful or realistic, and yet... this is very sad. I've been going there intermittently since freshman year. Now I'll go one more time to say goodbye to Blue the cat, who lives there, and then it will be gone from my life. And with them gone, and the Bookcellar gone, I do believe Pandemonium is the only small, independent, genre-friendly bookstore left in town. I really have to get my ass in gear and start supporting them more. I already have stopped being a member, for the purpose of paying them full price, for what that's worth.
Last night was a "hop hop hop" class in TKD. My calves are getting better at taking it. Then off to dinner and random talk with AJ and RC... I learned how to make the frittata AJ made for my bachelorette party and I'm very psyched to try it on my own soon. The coolest part of the day, though, was returning a call from V and being commissioned to write a poem for V's wedding. It's supposed to be about two people growing together and becoming intertwined, but she doesn't want it to be sappy or saccharine. Okayyyy.... *flexing writing fingers* why not? Must concentrate on work now. I'm proofreading, and bossman tends to write these things when he's half-asleep, so there are enough errors to keep me very much on my toes. I find that verbal work requires a much more uninterrupted work pattern than logical (coding or math) work, for whatever reason.
I hope to spend some time with HLM tonight... missed him yesterday. Snif.
