A merry Xmas
Dec. 25th, 2017 10:59 pmMerry whatever! I hope you all are cozy and happy.
As for me: I woke up, did stockings and presents with
heisenbug, took a picture of my new stash of books and finished reading Habibi before lunch. So good, and so gorgeously done. I don't think I can explain why it was so hilarious that
heisenbug put a potato in my stocking, but it was and it is and I will cook it soon.
Made lunch, tidied up a few things, and went out for Chinese and a movie with the Lions (as in, Lion & his wife -- I guess she can be Lioness, why not). The movie didn't quite happen, but we ditched it and had a perfectly nice dinner in Chinatown, and hung out at the Lions' for a little while until I missed the cats and my own fireplace too much. It was interesting to get out and about on Christmas Day, since we usually don't, and obviously I really like those two, but I'm tired now. Probably would have been tired anyway, since increased drinking of alcohol on my part has led to an earlier wake-up time and I've been distinctly underslept.
I've started Future Home of the Living God and will probably finish it off tomorrow. Mmmmm, reading.
And I've ordered myself a weighted blanket, since Santa declined to bring me such a thing, and written to my parents and some old friends. Good enough. I'm calling it a wrap.
