Secrets, and the biopsy

flexagonI've been unhappily keeping two specific secrets for the last few years -- one from Norwood's kids about being poly and married, and one from my grandparents about donating eggs to gay people. It took me a while to realize that with my grandfather's death a couple of weeks ago, the egg-donation secret died too; and Norwood told his kids that I'm married to heisenbug last week and they were totally cool with it, which wipes out the other. (Regarding them being cool with it: after these last few weeks of being ultra reserved and supportive, I threw it to the wind last night and did a ridiculous "I TOLD YOU SO" dance all over a hotel room last night. I did. I toooold him soooooooooo!)
Goodbye secrets, I don't miss you a bit and I don't plan to replace you.
I was going to post this in advance of my biopsy results, which I expected later this week, but in fact they called me today and said that the stuff they tested was benign. I had "benign calcifications", and atypical hyperplasia, which means "some extra cells grew here for some reason", but not cancer. YAY! This wasn't ruining my vacation but it's very nice to know that the story doesn't continue. My breast is turning some interesting colors (needles = bruising), which is fine, and when those fade it's over for now.

Date: 2019-05-30 02:37 pm (UTC)Also, I'm mad with jealousy that you're getting some bruising - that last biopsy where the doctor took about 15 or so samples left me with the tiniest little purplish spot, but nothing else. And it had hurt so much!
I'm also glad to hear about your secrets dying. What a relief.
