There's something to be said for tracking (or, anyway, thinking about) how many projects are going on in life. I've finished a couple that won't be replaced and therefore simplify life, namely:
The short-term projects coming up are both a bit travelly. This weekend is basically a small convention in a nearby town, and I've finally done some preparation, contacted friends who are going and created a packing list. It's nice that there's a 3-day weekend; I'll get to be away for 1.5 days and still at home for 1.5 days. Then next weekend brings travel to the midwest for another thing: quick visit to one of my teams, and then an unconference that brings together a bunch of super awesome people to talk about whatever they want. I'm pretty weirded out about being invited to that one, to be honest, given how many attendees have written books that I've read; but that's also why I want to go.
Things are happening one day at a time right now, a whole lot like this comic: partners, cats, subway, work, circus, phone. I've been prioritizing sleep.
- Got done playing Inside -- the standard ending, and watching the alternate one on Youtube. That got ultra weird near the end and I liked it. I would have said I spent 6 hours on it in the end, but Steam says 13.
- Pretty much finished my course of anti-fungals (done tomorrow) and they worked! Woohoo my skin is okay again. Life may be complex and ambiguous, but I think humanity is united in not liking to have butt problems.
