Look what I just added to my wish list: Tori Amos: For Easy Piano. That is so cool. True, I do already have the sheet music for Little Earthquakes, but I bet it's about 50 times too hard for me... and this book would only be 10 times too hard. :)

I just read The Acne Cure by Terry Dubrow and was fairly impressed. It makes mucho sense, and is interesting even if it is written mostly to teenage level. The regime I've been using since Dec 31 is basically half of this program, and it's been working well; after reading the book I also went and ordered some glycolic acid stuff since I do still have some blackheads (which makes perfect sense based on what the book says, even if my salicylic acid stuff does claim to be "blackhead busting"). I wasn't just reading the book for that though... it's also got a good chapter on supplements that are good for skin, and a lot on how the skin functions in general (interesting!) and a slightly scary chapter on acnes that are not (and are usually harder to cure than) acne vulgaris, which is what usual pimples are. Funny... I would not have thought, when I started reading about the stuff, that I would actually enjoy the reading. There's an article here that outlines what the general cure-your-acne program is, for those who may be curious. I can testify that the SA/BP combination does quite a lot of good even without the ice and glycolic acid steps.

The landlords have found us another nibble, as I found out right after paying to put up an online classified ad at the Boston Globe this morning. If Murphy's Law holds true, this one will actually rent the place just so my money will have been wasted. Or is there some corollary stating that the Law can never create a desirable outcome?
