[33%] Panik, metamour, promos, dates

Slightly less Panik: the bug has been waking up in the night, and confirmed for me that it would be possible to make an illicit, early appointment on CVS if actually awake at the right time. Somehow knowing that I could reduces my panicky desire to do so. I'm still considering myself qualified on 4/5 on "former smoker" grounds and I'm okay with that; and Norwood becomes eligible in another state on 4/12. So now the plans mostly just play out.
I took a nice walk with Helios's wife on Monday -- the internet says her name is Perse, so there we go. Perse. I wasn't nervous this time, and she apparently came back relaxed and happy afterward. I feel good about this metamour setup, like... no need to push it but I might actually be making a friend? Or at least a friendly person? And it's just as well that we did that, because my planned Saturday date with Helios then got scorched by her taking an outdoor walk with someone who turned out to test positive for covid. I got to be the calm one and say it's nobody's fault, I still want to see you, let's just stay outdoors, and he made me lunch and served it in his back yard. It was perfectly lovely, if chaste, and I felt that we had somewhat thwarted the pandemic trying to thwart us. Interesting to see the difference between that interaction and the one with Norwood, too, in which I got upset first and Norwood has been saying the calm-person lines and planning outdoor dates.
Then -- or, rather, in the middle of that last paragraph -- I spent the whole short work-week in promotion committee, determining the fates of ten Zillianaires who are currently labeled "5" and would like to be labeled "6". We said yes, we said no, we dutifully cranked the corporate gears around while getting further behind on our own email.
Now I'm at
norwoodbridge's for the second-to-last indoor date that we actually have scheduled for the next eternity (sigh), and he's biting me while I try to type.
Norwood: aww, what? I wouldn't hurt you for no reason!
Me: Yes you would... you do!
Norwood: The reason is I like it.
You know, there might be advantages to having a mask on this one for a few weeks.
