flexagonI had a nice week, catching up on email and getting educated about some things at work. I went into the office for two days and it made me really appreciate being home again on Thursday. I'm signed up for 2 more days' worth of classes next week, the Metrics and Analysis track of a week-long "boot camp", and I'm looking forward to becoming more qualified for my job.
Sold a pair of Fluevogs on eBay for a couple hundred dollars. Poked around in Harvard Square after a small team outing for hot chocolate -- both Urban Outfitters and Hempest seem to be gone, but Bob Slate is still there, as is Newbury Comics. Played through yet another chapter of Celeste with the squirrel; saw minor progress on handstands.
I pretty definitely want a navel tattoo at this point -- every time I remove a temporary one from that area I miss it and want it replaced. I'm maybe easing into a new stage of body modification, really... I decided years ago and with great reluctance to not get an eyebrow ring, primarily because my eyebrows don't really extend out to the far corners of my eye and also most eyebrow rings get rejected. But now I'm thinking -- so what? They can last from a few months to a few years, a small scar won't be that bad if it comes to that, and if I get a semi-permanent brow job then the ring might look great after all. Again, not forever but for some span of time that would be fun.
I think I value transient things more than I used to, and also don't feel like a year or two is a very long time, anymore.
