First, yes, I know my posts yesterday directly contradicted each other. Too bad, dear readers... the inside of my head is a waveform that has not yet collapsed, it's a royal mess in here. :o I'm grateful to that headhunter for poking me though. Now that I have even one option to actually analyze and compare to, suddenly the search doesn't seem so lofty and impossible. I do need to do some serious thinking about whether I'm willing to take a "step in the right direction" job... something less than a calling but more compelling than what I do now. I think the answer is probably yes, in the name of experience, especially if they're offering salaries like these people are. $90K to $110K is what they're listing, to do algorithm-y stuff in C++ in Central Square. *whistles* There are some evident downsides too, and I've sworn a mighty oath not to move anywhere I don't have a window, so this idea will probably yet die a quick death... but still. :)

I'm going to be uncool and homebodyish this weekend -- no social plans. I want to finish up the comic I drew last Sunday, go boldly forward with my plans to paint the back porch rails and evaluate the condition of our windows. (And of course brush the dust off my resume. Gads, yeah, that'll be fun.) And put HLM on my bank account. Hell, I might even work.

Oh--I took the advanced class in TKD last night for the first time in like a year and a half. I didn't die and I'm not dead today either, despite doing tons of wheel kicks, but it was challenging. I'm glad I rearranged my schedule to fit that class in. And I'm glad I've been suffering through all those squats and stuff... they DO have a huge crossover benefit when it comes to not hurting myself in there.

You know, I used to do TKD ages ago. My sister is huge into Jeet Kun Do, in fact she is scarily good. But me, well, I want to return and fear that I can't. That it will hurt much after almost a decade.:/

Maybe Tai Chi to start?

Not sure how you're going to 'demand' a window seat either. I mean, when you're the 'FNG', more than likely window seats are reserved for those that have seniority? It's a perk, so to speak.

I just remember it was always reserved for senior peeps in my old day. At the moment, my scenary is a brick wall so, I know what you mean. I wish I had a window, but I stupidly gave it up for Vic.
