Note to contractors everywhere: if 3 of you come to give us estimates on remodeling our bathroom, and one of you sends us a bid (and indeed revises it quickly on our request) while the other ones don't send a bid and won't return phone calls, guess which one gets the job? No... despite what most in your industry seem to think, this is not a trick question.

Oh, I posted last night on childfree, here, about some good news. Oddly, I was just as excited to hear, during the same lunch-time call-making spree, that our old radiators can be stripped down and repainted for $150 each. But I didn't think the CFs would care so much about that.

That is awesome news. It is really scary when doctors impose their views on their patients (not doing Essure, not giving information about abortions, not prescribing birth control, etc. etc.). They wield so much power already. I'm glad to see that Cambridge docs are not abusing it.
