The shuffling of the snow

My hapless and Chinese coworker (unrelated characteristics!) wrote in last Monday to say he would be in late because he'd be shuffling snow.

How cute. I guess he thinks you shuffle with a shovel. And the funny thing is, he's not far from the truth. :)

Tonight on the way home I saw an old lady shuffling her walkway all alone, so when I got home I took our shovel and went back. She had gone back inside after finishing her walkway, so she didn't see me shuffling her sidewalk. This is good, because I would have hated to explain myself. I hardly ever do things like that! I won't be doing it again until I have thicker gloves, either--my hands got totally numb out there, whine, complain. But it's fun to think of her looking outside tomorrow morning and going "Whaaaaa?".

it's fun to do those random good deeds. I helped push 2 stuck cars to freedom today. I was just walking by and they were obviously stuck, so I says, "ya need a hand?"... and before you know it we're grunting while rhytmically rocking it from behind... wait... I was talking about cars.. that's right. ;)

I was thinking more likely it's a karma thing and I trashed the good karma by writing about my good deed on LJ. Either way, yeah, wasted. :)
