Solar eclipse
Apr. 6th, 2005 07:40 amMy very awesome urban almanac told me there would be a total eclipse of the sun on Friday, April 8, so I Googled it in order to get the word out to y'all. I found all the information I wanted, but unfortunately Boston is just above the northern eclipse limit, so we don't get to see a damn thing. And this will be the last partial eclipse of the Sun visible from the continental U.S. until May 20, 2012. :(
I forget where most of you live, but
savage_rose, you at least should be able to see some of it.

Date: 2005-04-06 09:14 am (UTC)Oh, BTW, I talked to a couple of the guys at the motorcycle dealership I'm getting it fixed at and they said once I'm comfy on the bike there's no problem taking it on the highway. Top speed is 85, I'm not going to want to pass people much, but it's perfectly legal and safe, assuming I'm a steady driver. I also found lots online supporting that info, so that makes me feel better in terms of if I need to, I can go on the highway. I wouldn't do it a lot anyway, given that there's no windshield the blowback is going to be pretty big at those speeds.
Now, taking 95 down to FL might be a bit much for this week. :-D
