I tracked down / looked up an old friend this morning because I wanted to reread this, which I knew was linked to her site, and see if I still liked it now that I'm out of college. Tracking down this person always makes me sad, because the one trace of me on her extensive website is proof that we didn't live together all that well -- and it's too bad because we once had potential for a real friendship. Anyway... in the course of this I found out she's on LJ, which doesn't surprise me, and also found this cool GoogleMap pedometer. Looks mighty useful for those of you who are runners.

Also a poem about divorced men that I found touching.

So, to friend or not to friend? It's hard to see why it would be a good idea. This is, after all, a person who moved away and seems happy being out of touch, and she doesn't look me up when she comes through Boston. LJ is a fine way to stay in touch, but it can also thwart the rather healthy urge to occasionally make a clean start and get away from certain people. Hi from a distance, then, [livejournal.com profile] niralth, I don't really see a reason to entangle you. Though I might drop you a line.

Where are you referred to? What's not to like about you? She doesn't like you, the problem is with her, not you, so fuggedaboutit.
