Silks aftermath; yoga; packing
Jan. 25th, 2006 09:53 pmFor the faintly curious (there's one of you, anyway): my deltoids were sore yesterday. Today I could feel some triceps, little bit of back and my left obliques (aha: I did that 'angel in the ropes' thing a lot more on one side than the other). In short, not deadly but quite deserving of a day off afterward.
Despite being pretty zonked at yoga tonight (blame silks? the hot dog I ate right before class? Canada?) I had a very good run of forearm stands, actually managing 12 breaths in one of them while balanced and not touching the wall. In addition, I kicked up once and just barely brushed the wall before coming to a balance -- I think if the wall hadn't been there I'd have still managed it. It's time to do the scary thing and start practicing with no wall at all.
And, okay, people (who mercifully are not on LJ; I don't mean you,
hiddenbear) are being annoying little shits about vacation plans. Why, when a group has a concensus on something, is it necessary to fuck it up at the last minute, hmmm? I just spent an hour dredging up details on stuff I thought was all set, which sucks, because I still have several other chores to do tonight and I wanted to get to sleep early. And my cat will not shut up. Sigh. At this point I don't even want to go, but of course, I always feel like that when a trip is upon me. Travel is just a pain in the ass. I'm too pissed to even try to be clever about it.
