Wow, just... wow
Oct. 15th, 2003 11:42 amLast night's Dale Carnegie class just made up for the time it was a downer and the time I missed it and all the money DSB has paid for it. ( I'm a bit giddy--here's why )
( The only thing I would maybe whine about )
After all that, I had a great time watching QE with the L and J dawgs and HLM, and after that we stayed up late discussing anatomy/stretching/fitness for a while. It's a fun group to talk with because we all know a fair amount--I held the floor for like 5 minutes talking about adductors, and the dawgs promised to take me cross-country skiing. It all made me happy. Meow, purrrrrrrr.
No trouble at all getting to work today. I have found out yet again that when I inherit a bunch of unfamiliar code, it helps me a lot to sit down and make a quick hand-drawn UML diagram of the confusing bits.

Another party idea
Oct. 15th, 2003 05:32 pmadapted from when someone was going to throw me a bridal shower, at one point, and I was going to ask for it to be a recipe shower. So how about this idea: a recipe party. Everyone bring one killer recipe typed up nice on a piece of paper. When all are assembled, one person dashes off to the copy center, returning with booklet of great recipes. Yum.
'Course, this could as easily be done by a group of people over email, and with a lot less effort. It just wouldn't be quite as cool. I'd be willing to start such a thing... I'm kinda bored with all my usual food right now.
