Alas, no leftovers... bah.

I feel all self-conscious today because of a discussion yesterday about how to balance one's LJ. Does one just provide opinions? Turn it into a humor column? Talk about your own life and nothing else? Sigh. It doesn't help that I know I can write better than I usually bother to do in this forum... sure, I could turn this into a poem-a-day journal, or a book review journal, or an opinion column, or make it witty-observations-only. But then it would become an obligation, yes, another one. Ugh. Added to this feeling is my enjoyment of reading about other people's lives as a better substitute for reality TV--I can only assume other people like to do the same. So, while I may do some experimenting with other styles in the near future, and I'm willing to take requests, I think I'm going to stick largely with events, venting, and thoughts sparked mostly by events.
