A couple of shout-outs

miyyu and
savage_rose: Jacqueline Carey is still writing. There's a good, recent interview with her here, and she also has her own website. The short version is: there's a duology coming out next that has nothing to do with Terre d'Ange, and after that there's more than one Imriel book (I was getting a "trilogy" feeling but couldn't really find the details). Yay!
To
bluechromis: yesterday I asked for you on the childfree boards whether anyone has been able to preserve Chilean culture or do anything else positive and wonderful specifically because they refrained from having children. A lot of people answered me here, and a couple more here. Take a look. (I just realized this could put me in the doghouse with
jg26 if he's especially into the parenthood idea... whups, sorry, J, if so.)
To my bratty young coworker: the word 'architect' is a fucking noun! And so is 'leverage', although I'm about ready to give up on that one after 5 years of hearing otherwise. Sigh.
My bug is home--he just called me. It's too bad I don't get to see him until tonight, but at least I know the poor lonely kitties are feeling better. :) The only other item of interest is that I did a shitload of wheel kicks last night, and today I'm not sore at all... spooky. Perhaps now I pay for wheel kicks by sleeping restlessly instead of by getting sore, if last night was any indication. And perhaps I am indeed ready for that blue belt. Hooah!
