My very awesome urban almanac told me there would be a total eclipse of the sun on Friday, April 8, so I Googled it in order to get the word out to y'all. I found all the information I wanted, but unfortunately Boston is just above the northern eclipse limit, so we don't get to see a damn thing. And this will be the last partial eclipse of the Sun visible from the continental U.S. until May 20, 2012. :(

I forget where most of you live, but [livejournal.com profile] savage_rose, you at least should be able to see some of it.

I had the fascinating experience just now of being complimented by HC on how I supposedly respect everyone equally and stay calm when someone comes in to ask me questions (not always true, I must say, though I do try). He said he was going to try to be more like me in the future. I blinked a few times, said thank you and finally added the truth: heck, I'm just trying to be more like Dan the Cat.

Role model chaining is a great thing... because not all memes are LJ quizzes. Someone out there probably looks up to HC and is poised to learn this whole calmness/respect idea from him.

Someone recently reminded me that someone else is having trouble with hamstring stretches because sitting and leaning forward doesn't work too well for that second person. (I name no names... you know who you are.) I've got one for ya, second person.

Standing hamstring stretch, for stiff people )
