I just had an especially awesome yoga class. Nothing amazing done on my part, but a lot of good stuff attempted, and the teacher played Mezzanine by Massive Attack during the class. I think all my core muscles will be sore tomorrow. There are many things that make me happy about yoga, and trying to do scorpion handstand is one of them, but what makes me happiest is that I'm more into it now (after almost a year) than I was when I was starting out. It's a relief, really. Switching activities all the time gets mentally tiring, and you never build up I've been doing this for X years, where X is half the age of the universe bragging rights.

There's been lots of drama lately on the egg donation front; to make a long story short, the daddies don't have the money to move forward with the whole implantation cycle just now. Thus, the best option now is for me to go ahead and donate eggs in the spring, but without a gestational carrier; fertilize them to make embryos; and let the daddies freeze them for use some other year. It will lack a lot of the excitement of the last donation, since there won't be an immediate pregnancy resulting from it, but will be easier for me in a lot of ways since I won't have to sync up my cycle with anyone else's before proceeding. Sigh... nothing's ever as good the second time around. (Except dating, of course. First dates suck.) And poor Birdie is going to end up with a sibling who's a lot younger than she is. On one hand, that's not necessarily a bad thing... on the other, it certainly wasn't the original plan... but, on the gripping hand, it's not something I can do anything about, so I won't fret about it.

If you recognize both SF/F fiction references in this post and where they came from, then I'm glad you're on my friendslist. :)

And one more thing: a brief shout-out in favor of Adiemus and their CD Songs of Sanctuary. It's the first new age music I've really liked in a long time, and it's got to be the happiest music ever. Right now I have an odd mix of that and Massive Attack running through my head. I encourage you all to run out and buy it.
