Well that was a triumph
Apr. 15th, 2008 12:13 amI'm making a note here: huge success. Keeping the computer off in the morning not only kept me from getting sucked into the computer today, it apparently causes me to spend more time in the sunny room first thing in the morning, which is kind of a win in terms of waking up. I didn't hurry at all this morning (and even got sucked into a book, just a bit), but I still would have been at work pretty early if I hadn't taken a side-trip to feed
dr_alycat's flying squirrels. Eating first thing in the morning, before my stomach had really woken up, was kind of weird though.
We just got done e-filing our taxes (scream) and I expect to get my grade back on that huge exam tomorrow (erk). And also, since we've now gone through one quarter of 2008 with the same conditions that gave us 2007, we're paying estimated taxes for this quarter too (bleh!). So... I'm going to focus instead on the delicious fact, which most of you don't know yet, that we have one of these geodesic domes at work, and it brings me exactly as much joy as you'd expect, knowing me. Oh, the dome. The dome is love. The dome really makes me want to play with
nevers, and take pictures of her on it and experiment with crazy dome-partner-acro tricks on it. There's also an 8 foot tall version that pretty much answers the question of what I'd do with a lawn if I ever had one. The age recommendation for that one is "6+", so clearly it would be appropriate for me. :)
