FO #5: Fetchings
Jul. 27th, 2008 10:20 pmThe world was not in dire need of another pair of Fetchings, but now it has one anyway. I made these last week in 3 days (Saturday, Sunday, Monday) for my mom's birthday, and of course I can't put them on my knitting blog because she reads my knitting blog. Sigh!
These were easy; they made me feel fast and competent. (My picot bindoff seems to be more pointy than intended, but my mom won't know that.) I bought two balls of Cashmerino and made them an inch or so longer than standard Fetchings, knowing that her wrists get cold.
Is this enough crafting for her? NO! For my birthday she gave me a book about fancy gift boxes and hinted strongly that whatever I give her must come in such a box. So, that gives me a project for tomorrow night too. I don't really mind the excuse to go to the Paper Source.
