Another email post
Mar. 23rd, 2019 02:27 pmA somewhat gentler week, as calibration ended Tuesday and (along with hours
spent slamming together a worried faux-appeal about a bad decision) I got
my email down from Inbox Several Hundred to Inbox Not Overly Guilty.
Catching up is not complete but is now possible. I finished off the week by
having dinner at my traditional spot with both the bug *and* Lion, which
made me stupidly happy because hanging out with any two partners always
does. I'm a simple creature in some ways.
I dreamed last night about packing for the office move and finding more and
more crap; classic minimalist anxiety dream, countered today by taking a
bag of old books/clothes to the Goodwill. I also finished my play-through
of Super Mario Bros 3 this morning, and my reading of Children of Blood
and Bone yesterday... clearing the decks or something.
An ant colony somewhere has woken up and is sending explorers into our
condo, and I hope they don't find much. Go back empty-handed, explorers,
lay no chemical trail, and live to explore another day! But I already
stepped on one by accident, and the cats think they're toys. :-/
