Spazzing, financing, and bargaining

Bleah! How did I forget my yoga mat and my earrings this morning? (I am so weird about earrings that I had two emergency pairs of plain silver hoops in my desk, but still.) This is on top of forgetting to do LAUNDRY this last weekend. I can only attribute this spazzathon to being stressed about work, which is happening because I've been hung up on a configuration problem (and basically unable to make forward progress) for two weeks. So, I just wanted to say argh. Argh!!!!!
I saw the financial advisor last night and he had mostly good news for me. Of course, it was all based on a zillion assumptions that are sure to go wrong between now and 2040 (like, say, things could change if my boss notices that I haven't made any progress at work in two weeks) but he sure said some funny things. I think my favorite four words were massive estate planning problems. Massive estate planning? That made me laugh. It doesn't seem possible. Plus, if I die I'll be dead... if I died tomorrow, I can't say I'd care too much what my survivors did with the "estate", except give a big chunk to MIT to pay them back for all those grants.
Sigh. I seem to remember
bluechromis being super stressed about work right around her last birthday... or was it the one before? This year, apparently, is my turn. Out out, you demons of appserver configuration! Just let my stuff WORK again, please, I'll do anything, even turn 29.
P.S. I promise to still try to be fun tomorrow night. :)
