Pose of the month at my yoga place for July is galavasana. If I were naming these things, I'd have called it Levitating Pigeon... but then, if I were naming things, pigeon itself would be called Burning Outer Hip Pose, so no I wouldn't have.

Date: 2006-07-11 03:08 am (UTC)Center splits... your idea for a trainer sounds okay for saving your wrists, but if you're at least as flexible as me in that direction (and I bet you are) it shouldn't be hard to support yourself on your forearms instead of your wrists. I suck, and even I can do that (and when I sucked even more, I sometimes started by putting elbows on a coffee table...) To me, the nice thing about your trainer idea is the "allowing muscles to relax" part. If you build it I'd definitely love to come over and try it. :)
